New Rush mode and Premier updates in CS2

What changed
Put your foot on the gas and floor it. Welcome to Rush, a new fast-paced 3v3 queued mode for CS2. Experience the push and pull as you advance through a gauntlet of randomly-selected battle arenas, and dominate your opponent to win the match!
Make the most of your limited budget and precious time to clear the objective. Control the tower when you eliminate the enemy team (or time expires) to win the round.
Run the gauntlet of battle arenas to capture the enemy castle and win the match. The battle arenas are randomly selected each time you play, so no two matches are the same.
Keep track of your wins and compete for bragging rights with the Rush friends leaderboard!
Pick, Pick Pick, Pick
We think that if you spend a lot of time developing strategies on a map, you should have a chance to benefit from that investment. So today we're changing the process for getting into a map in Premier--instead of banning down to a single map, teams will vote to pick two maps each. After all four maps are picked, a single map will be randomly selected and the match will begin.
Change You Can See
Today's update also includes several quality of life improvements, starting with blood and bullet impact visiblity. Blood is now much more bloody, and bullet impacts are far more impacty.
But wait, there's more! Crosshairs have gotten a significant upgrade with new shapes and other features, so check out the new Crosshair/Scopes settings and create the custom crosshair of your dreams. Also, Clan Tags are back! Select one of your Steam Groups in your player profile and you'll see your clan tag appear next to your name wherever you play.
Change You Can't See (or Hear) There are some gameplay adjustments in today's update to add a bit of stealth to your game-time decisions. Reloading can now be performed silently (by holding the reload key), but with a cost--silent reloads take quite a bit longer. And for those of you who love scoping your scoped weapons, you'll now be perfectly silent when you unscope, as nature intended.
Starjunk 95
There's a new Music Kit in town, featuring the sounds of Starjunk 95. Experience music from the grooviest station in the galaxy, available now!
What it means for players and servers
Valve introduced Rush, a new fast-paced 3v3 queued mode where teams navigate through randomly selected battle arenas to capture the enemy castle. The mode blends tactical gameplay with dynamic arena changes, ensuring variety across matches. Beyond Rush, the update brings significant quality-of-life improvements: enhanced visibility for blood and bullet impacts, new crosshair shapes, the return of clan tags from Steam Groups, silent reloading with a time penalty, and silent unscoping mechanics.
For community server owners, this update primarily affects those running modes featuring random map selection and tactical elements. The silent reload and silent unscope mechanics may require adjustments to plugins that monitor player sounds. The blood and bullet impact visibility improvements are entirely client-side, requiring no server-side changes.
Premier undergoes a notable structural change: instead of traditional banning down to a single map, teams now vote to pick two maps each, with one randomly selected afterward. This affects all maps in the Premier pool and requires understanding the new selection algorithm. Review how this impacts strategic preparation and ensures your server's map pool aligns with current Premier standards.
