What it means for players and servers
Valve released a routine update focused on monetization and bug fixes. Ranked Series stickers are now available for purchase, with 50% of royalties distributed to players, teams, and tournament organizers - a mechanism to support the professional scene. The Cologne 2026 Shop is also open with limited-time sales until September 29th. Fixed issues with script loading in tools mode and an error preventing XP claims from The Dead Hand Collection, plus closed a vulnerability allowing some players to evade VACnet analysis.
For community server administrators, updates to three Community Workshop maps are notable: Boulder, Fachwerk, and Shelter received improvements from their creators. If you run these maps on your servers, it's recommended to download their fresh versions. The VACnet fix affects the entire ecosystem - the anti-cheat system will now be more effective at catching violators, improving conditions across all server types.
The update will primarily affect players actively collecting stickers and collections, as well as admins working with Community Workshop maps. It's recommended to verify script loading in tools mode if you were developing anything there - the error is already fixed.
