What it means for players and servers

The update addresses two iconic maps with numerous geometry and audio fixes. Cache sees increased bomb explosion radius, reworked A-site visibility, and corrected wall bang issues. Dust II blocks unnecessary Mid Box visibility, improves smoke lighting consistency, and fixes a critical audio dropout bug. These changes should enhance map readability and fairness overall.

Community server administrators face no critical plugin or configuration changes - the update affects in-game geometry and mechanics only. However, custom configs on both maps should be tested, particularly those with custom clipping or visibility presets. Online activity on Cache and Dust II servers may dip temporarily as players readapt to the changes.

Audio fixes for crouch-jumping in confined spaces and money subtraction during bot takeover are relevant across all modes on these maps. Players should relearn specific jump spots and verify footstep sounds reproduce correctly at all positions.
