What it means for players and servers

Cache has returned to the game and is now available in Competitive, Casual, Deathmatch, and Retakes modes, expanding the standard map rotation. Developers have also fixed several mechanical and visual issues: Talon and Karambit knives now animate correctly during defuse, a bug allowing players to hold no weapon after throwing a grenade has been patched, and a shader issue on de_mirage that caused overly dark silhouettes on railings has been resolved.

For community server administrators, this update means Cache will automatically become available in the respective modes if the server uses standard rotation. Plugins working with weapon selection or grenade mechanics should be tested for compatibility with the fixed behavior. A previously hidden jump spot on Dust II's Mid Box is now accessible, which may require tactical adjustments on community servers.

The update affects all maps in rotation, but special attention should be paid to de_mirage due to the visual artifact fix. Stronghold and Poseidon have been updated to new Community Workshop versions, so custom servers running these maps should sync the changes.
