  • Fixed a bug where players can get stuck in a planted-turn state.
  • Made foot IK transitions smoother.
  • Adjusted the firstperson in-air crouch transition time to match the thirdperson animation better.
  • Fixed a case where high frequency stutter steps would cause large pose changes.
  • Fixed a case where legs would snap when quickly stopping and then continuing in same direction.
  • Adjusted thirdperson bomb plant animation to more closely match firstperson animation.
  • Minor adjustments to viewmodel animations.\
  • Fixed random crash on startup when a non-default Audio Device was specified in settings or when sound_device_override was specified in a config file or on the command line.
  • Adjusted official map guides to match new surface smoothing.
  • Dropped weapons with silencers now correctly reflect the silenced state.

What it means for players and servers

The update focuses on polishing game mechanics and eliminating visual artifacts. Issues with weapon animations have been fixed, including XM1014 shell flickering and dual berettas bugs in both view modes. Animation synchronization between first and third person crouch has been improved, and character pose snapping during rapid movements has been resolved. Players will no longer get stuck in a planted-bomb state.

For community server administrators, this means maps will display more correctly thanks to updated guides reflecting new surface smoothing. The audio device fix is critical for servers using non-standard sound configurations through configs or command line - such setups will no longer crash on startup. Plugins working with worldmodel or animations may require compatibility checks.

The fixes affect overall stability and visual quality across all game modes. It's worth verifying that server configs don't contain outdated audio device parameters and that maps render correctly with the new smoothing.
