CS2 update, April 23, 2026: ledge physics and trade limits

• Adjusted ground smoothing at locations where the player can stand on very thin ledges.\
• Minor adjustments to viewmodel animations.\
• Corrected some improper character texture assignments.
• Trade offers containing Counter-Strike 2 items are now limited to 1,000 items.

The update includes several technical improvements that will enhance gameplay mechanics stability. Ground smoothing has been adjusted on thin ledges - this will be noticeable on maps with tricky transitions and jumps to narrow platforms. Character texture issues have also been corrected, and weapon viewmodel animations refined.

Community server administrators will see minimal changes. The main focus is on Steam's trading system: trade offers containing CS2 items are now limited to 1,000 items per offer. This affects players and bots engaging in large-scale skin trading, but has no impact on server gameplay.

The client will automatically download the update on next launch. It's worth checking character behavior on maps with unusual topology if you notice any anomalies in ledge movement.
